GDSA is a dental student association founded in 2014. The purpose of founding GDSA is to provide a forum for the growing area of dentistry for dental student activities in the Gulf region and globally. Dental education is the basic foundation of the dental profession and therefore, continuous development and improvement is crucial to ensure a high quality profession.

 

The purpose of GDSA is to enhance the quality and standards of the dental student's skills through the establishment and development of leadership workshops, volunteer programs and research projects as extracurriculum activities. GDSA also aims to train dental students and collaborate with dental academics and institutions in the Middle East, Arab countries, and globally.

 

Objectives:

 

1. Promote the advancement of research in dental education

2. Stimulate the collaboration, networking, exchange and dissemination of ideas and information among dental students

3. Providing and maintaining optimal oral health care for the public through education, studies, investigation and treatment

4. Promotes the development of student extracurricular activitites

5. Promotes the exchange of students

6. Provide international links with other institutions concerned with dental students
